The Dalai Lama’s Philosophy

Namaste

There is no need for temples,

No need for complicated philosophy

My brain and my heart are my temples,

My philosophy is Kindness.

The Dalai Lama

I was lucky enough to hear the Dalai Lama speak in Seattle when he was here for the Seeds of Compassion talks! When I was in India co-leading and teaching yoga for the Spiritual India Tour/Yoga Retreat in the summer of  2010, we got ever so close to having a private audience with him.  However, it was his birthday and reporters were hounding him for personal interviews and they won out!   We dreamily stood before his residence filled with reporter-envy.  I am ever so moved by the Dalai Lama.  I still get chills when he says, “I am a simple monk! or “Love is my religion.”  So simple and yet his messages are so powerful.
